The Black Diamond Trail Cork is built for 4-season versatility and expertly balances comfort, features and durability. The premium 100% natural cork grip is designed for ultimate comfort while the dual FlickLocks offer complete adjustability to suit the terrain. Our interchangeable carbide Tech Tips are easily swapped for our Rubber Tech Tips (sold separately) to accommodate changing trail surfaces and we’ve included both trekking and snow baskets for 4 season versatility.

Great balance makes these Black Diamond trekking poles feel lighter than they are. They are lightweight without sacrificing strength and durability. Adjustments are easy to make. While I wish it didn't require a tool (Phillips head) to make adjustments, I've not had to make any in roughly 60 miles of use to date. All in all, a better performer than I expected at this price point.

These are great trekking poles! They are very lightweight and have quick release levers that allow you to set the desired length. The poles are indexed making it easy to set both at the same length. Collapse down nicely to carry on/in a pack. Cork grips are super comfortable and don't generate sore spots on your hand. To anyone complaining about them breaking - like most trekking poles you can't put your entire body weight on them, especially if you are loading them up at an angle on a rocky surface. You'll risk bending them. But used properly these are great poles. They come with a set of snow baskets if you want to trek in the snow.

Had bought a couple of generic offerings throuhg amazon before getting these, the generic ones all broke within 1 or 2 hikes and it ruined our confidence in the cheaper options. The black diamond pair have been solid over 100miles of terrain including up and down half dome and multiple mount baldy hikes. Great ergonomics and just a solid design. Some have complained about vibrations but have only found that happens when misusing them or using the wrong tips for the terrain. Rubber is great for anything super hard and the steel tips great for anything soft, on half dome i was literally just shoving a rubber tip on for the stone steps and sections and taking it off for the valley and forest sections.

I was never really a trekking pole guy. I didn't think they were all that useful outside of water crossings. My main complaint was that they just didn't seem sturdy. I was always having to fiddle with the locks to keep them from collapsing. Definitely not a problem with these! I was a little concerned that the tension on the locks required a tool to adjust, but it hasn't been an issue. I added the rubber tips to make them a little quieter and more trail friendly on dirt. Now that I've gotten used to hiking with poles, I find that I can go longer distances with a better pace.

Worked exactly as advertised. Easy to setup and start trekking. I did a short 3 mile hike with a couple of hundred feet of vertical (very easy) and the poles worked great. For years I used a wooden oak pole that the made, glad to be using two poles that are designed for this. Sometimes an old dog can learn new tricks.
